In Case You Missed It... Update on Mass Dispensation

Msgr. Dillon sent out the following e-mail on Friday about the Mass dispensation.

Dear Parishioners:

Archbishop Hartmayer has announced that on May 22, prior to the celebration of the Vigil of Pentecost, the general dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays will expire in the Archdiocese of Atlanta. You can read more about that in a message from him, which you may find here

The Archdiocese had released additional guidelines as restrictions are eased and we slowly begin our “return to normal.” We are ahead on most of the items, and you will notice a few changes in the meantime.  If we need to make any significant additional changes, I will send you an update.

As we welcome more people back to in-person attendance, one of our priorities will be to continue to keep everyone as safe as possible. Masks and social distancing will still be require per CDC guidelines. And, to those who are in any way uncomfortable about being in Church or McDonough Hall, we will continue to bring Communion to the parking lot for those who are watching the livestream in their cars.

Sincerely,

Msgr. Edward J. Dillon, J.C.D., Pastor
