Each year the Auxiliary of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Cancer Home sponsors a fundraising event to help the Sisters at the home with the hospice’s medical supply fund. Major prizes for this year’s drawing include $500 cash, two night stay at Westin Jekyll Island and a Ring Video Doorbell 2 (with a one year protection plus).
But, the raffle is not about the prizes! It’s about supporting the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne who care for those with incurable cancer who are unable to pay for adequate nursing elsewhere. OLPH is particularly special to Holy Spirit because the Sisters allowed Fr. Fallon to convalesce at the cancer home a few years ago following his heart surgery. Additionally, Fr. Paul Burke, our former parochial vicar, serves as the OLPH chaplain.
Tickets are $5.00 for a book of six tickets and may be purchased online with a minimum order of $25. We will fill out your name and phone number for you on all online sales. Tickets will also be available in the Narthex on September 21st and 22nd after all Masses.
