What is HSYP?: The Holy Spirit Young Professional Ministry (HSYP) is a community of men and women in their 20's, 30's and 40's brought together to nourish God's call to life with Him. The Young Professionals develop their potential, foster their talents and respond to the challenges of being Catholic in today’s world. This ministry offers faith enrichment and brings members together in a wide range of social, spiritual, athletic and service activities. Among the activities enjoyed by Young Adults are TGIF events, happy hours, dinner with fellowship following 5:30 pm Sunday Mass, service projects, spiritual and social opportunities with other parishioners.
How often are your events?: Our recurring events (New Member Wine and Cheese, Trivia, TGIF, Dinner After Mass and Happy Hour) are scheduled to allow for at least one event per week. Special and seasonal events are scheduled regularly throughout the year.
Do I have to be a parishioner at Holy Spirit to join the HSYPs?: No. All single and married adults are welcome, regardless of religious affiliation or parish membership.
How Much Does It Cost?: While there is no membership for HSYP, we do occasionally charge a cover or ask for a donation to help offset the cost of certain events.
What is YAM? Is HSYP part of YAM?: Young Adult Ministry (YAM) is the Archdiocese of Atlanta’s organization for young Catholics. We participate in a number of YAM sponsored events throughout the year, but HSYPs are run separately.
How much clergy involvement do the HSYPs have?: The HSYPs are blessed to have the full support of the Holy Spirit Clergy. Our Pastor, Parochial Vicar, and Deacons often support our events, including our much-anticipated TGIF Dinner at the Rectory.
