Women's Club
The Holy Spirit Women’s Club is a spiritual, social and service ministry open to all women of the Holy Spirit family. No application is necessary. We promote fellowship and service within our church community through monthly meetings which offer a wide range of topics and events to accommodate the diversity of the women in the parish. The meetings present opportunities to meet new friends over dinner while enjoying and learning from inspiring guest speakers. All women of the parish are encouraged to help the Holy Spirit Women's Club identify programs that are of interest to many age groups within our community.
Our calendar begins in the fall and ends with our spring luncheon, and we meet on the 3rd Monday of the month from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. On occasion there are special events scheduled over the summer break. Recent speakers have included a geneticist from Northside Hospital, breast cancer survivors, a home and office organizer, a yoga instructor, a financial advisor, and a physicians' panel. We've also hosted wine tasting and cooking/baking demonstrations, among other special events.
In 2007 the Women's Club participated in the Atlanta 2-Day Breast Cancer Walk, forming a team for the Church. The Spirited Steppers has participated every year since. We have also started an annual Christmas choral concert and dinner to kick off the Christmas season. Other annual events include a Christmas Coffee, Lenten Retreat, Spring Luncheon and the Ash Wednesday Dinner and Seder Supper, both of which are open to all parishioners. The Women's Club also promotes the arts by offering tickets to seasonal concerts, plays and the opera, which are open to all parishioners.
