Christmas Decorating Committee
Help bring Christmas to Holy Spirit by decorating the Church and parish grounds in early-mid December. Volunteers will assist with trimming the tree as well as hanging Christmas greens (wreaths and garlands) both inside and outside the church and the new parish hall. Volunteers are also needed to help "undecorate" after Epiphany.

Food Preparation
Prepare and/or deliver food to parishioners in need on a one-time or short-term basis. Parishioners may need assistance because of illness or other stressful situations.

Funeral Committee - Assist with Funerals
Funeral Committee Assistants work with the clergy to prepare liturgical and sacramental items and, if trained, occasionally serve as Extraordinary Ministers or lectors at funerals.
|

Funeral Committee - Assist with Receptions
The Funeral Committee assists any family that requests a reception either for a wake or after a funeral at Holy Spirit. Duties include food preparation, hall set-up, reception service and clean-up. The Funeral Committee also organizes a telephone tree as needed.

Parish Picnic Planning Committee
The parish picnic planning committee will oversee all aspects of the annual picnic, working closely with parish staff to ensure a fun-filled day for all parishioners. Responsibilities include contacting vendors for food and entertainment, recruiting and coordinating volunteers and assisting with logistics. Parish picnic volunteers can help with the planning of the event, during the event (15 min. intervals) and/or clean up.

Person-to-Person
The goal of this ministry is to contact all households annually so that the parish is up-to-date with any appropriate or pertinent information concerning parishioners. Each member calls ten households per month from August through November and February through May.

Receptions/Special Events
Volunteers are needed to assist on an occasional basis with food preparation, set-up, serving and clean-up for special parish activities and events, including first Communion/Confirmation receptions and the parish ministry fair.

Sunday Morning Coffee
Refreshments are served from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. every Sunday. This Sunday morning hospitality offers both adults and children an excellent opportunity to meet fellow parishioners between Mass and Religious Education. New volunteers are always welcome to join the Sunday Morning Coffee Committee. Volunteer one Sunday per month and assist with set-up, serving or clean-up.

Transportation
Volunteers provide scheduled transportation for the sick and elderly of the parish on an occasional basis and to Mass when needed.
