Holy Spirit’s 2017 Tithing Campaign kicks off next weekend. Tithing is a joyful privilige to participate in and to help make God's kingdom present in the world. One tangible way of demonstrating our appreciation to God for the blessings he has bestowed up us is through supporting the Church at large, and Holy Spirit, in particular, through Tithing. Tithing is 10%, the Biblical standard. It works out as follows: 5% coming to the parish, 1% to the Archdiocese and 4% to your other charities. A core component of Tithing is to understand that it isn’t fundraising—it is our grateful response to God for his generosity.
